Statement of Intent

As mentioned in the brief, my task is to create 4 bus -s top to promote a new thriller TV drama series for ITV X. This means all of the posters must follow a coherent house style (I have chosen 2 sets of posters that follow 2 house styles) and must be eng aging to the audience.   My set target audience is thriller fans of all genders aged 16-25, which means the interests of this demographic are quite unique. The idea for my th riller follows a town ridden with teenage crime, with 2 of the 3 main characters featured on the pos ters representing this younger demographic. Both a male and a female are featured on the product , which involves a wider audience as this might mean they feel like they can identify with these specific characters , which links to the Uses and Gratifications model . Idea for TV thriller

When a series of disturbing crimes rocks the alleys of Gorleston, a seasoned detective is called in to solve the case. The crimes seem unconnected at first, but as the detective digs deeper, he uncovers a network of teenage criminals—a ruthless gang led by a mysterious, charismatic figure. The gang, known for its violent heists and drug trade, has a code that involves loyalty above all, and no one talks to the authorities—until one of their own questions the gang's motives and betrays her own friends. As the detective delves into the shadows of the alleys, he discovers a web of betrayal, hidden alliances, and dark secrets, leading him to believe that the gang’s leader may not be just a thug—he could be orchestrating something much bigger, with far-reaching consequences for the entire town.

Popularity of Genre   Squid Game   Netflix’s Squid Game looks at targeting a younger audience, primarily young adults as the rat ing is 15 in the UK. This is due to the playground game aspect of the show and the challenges that get the aud ience discussing each episodes games. It is also aimed at a younger audience because Netflix is often used by typically younger people who have grown up with the platform. However, this isn’t to say that every show on Netflix targets a younger audience. The cartoon part of the show is another indication that it is intended for a younger audience . The images of the girl showcase stereotypical Korean culture, and with the main language of the show being Korean, it can be heavily argued that the primary audience are Asian. Netflix have looked at targeting other countries by having different language audios so anyone in the world can access the show. Squid Game is seen as a modern Korean t hriller and is unique in its storylin...
